Description

On the Porch Blanket is easy to knit using only knit and purl stitches. It's a great knitting project for beginners, as well as experienced knitters who enjoy a relaxing knit. The blanket is knit flat, in one piece, back and forth on circular knitting needles. The PDF pattern has clear and beginner friendly instructions for six (6) blanket sizes from baby blanket to XXL afghan. This design is a popular choice for modern baby blankets and everyday throws. On the Porch blanket is inspired by childhood memories of summer evenings on my grandparents’ screened porch. The simple textured stripe design reminds me of the old, painted wood floor of their porch. Recommended #4 weight yarns include: Lion Brand Heartland (shown in photo in 'Congaree'), Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling, and Lion Brand Wool-Ease.
